Yes, close enough for a track, not exact in isolation.

A Moog Model D sound is mostly:

  1. Three analog oscillators
  2. Slight detune / pitch drift
  3. 24 dB ladder low-pass filter
  4. Filter drive / saturation
  5. Snappy but not ultra-clicky envelopes
  6. Mono / legato behavior
  7. Subtle instability

Vital can do most of this, but its default oscillators/filter are cleaner and more “digital precise,” so you need to dirty it up.

That will get you the musical effect much more than obsessing over exact Model D behavior.

Best practical answer

Vital can get you 80–90% of the vibe. For a mix, especially with delay, chorus, reverb, saturation, and sidechain, almost nobody will care. For naked filter-sweeps, bass drones, or classic Moog leads, a dedicated Minimoog emulation like Arturia Mini V, Softube Model 72, UAD Minimoog, or The Legend will feel more convincing.

Yes, but Juno is harder to fake than Moog in one specific way: the chorus is a huge part of the sound.

A Juno patch is usually simple:

1 DCO saw/pulse/sub oscillator
24 dB low-pass filter
snappy-ish envelopes
mono or poly
big noisy stereo chorus

Vital can do the oscillator/filter/envelope part easily. The Juno “magic” is mostly the DCO stability + sub oscillator + chorus.

Osc 3: Sine/triangle or basic shape, -12 semitones, level 20–50%

Unlike a Moog patch, don’t make the oscillators wildly detuned. Juno DCOs are stable.
